- : Dumb question 465: I have ToolManager 2.2b or so running happily and

- : docs on Dock and am confused.
-
- 1. Load up the ToolManager Prefs program. You will see a cycle gadget at the
- top of the window. This cycle gadget specifies which object type you want
- to create.
-
- 2. Create an object of type "Exec" to load a particular program. I'll call
- this Exec object "Prog1" from now on. There are a number of options you
- have to set for this object, depending on whether it is a Workbench or
- shell command, whether you want an output window, stack size etc. When
- it's all configured, click on "Ok" to take yourself back to the main prefs
- window.
-
- 3. Create an object of type "Image", and select the icon / picture you want
- to use for it. I'll call this object "Image1". When done, click on "Ok"
- to take yourself back to the main prefs window.
-
- 4. Create an object of type "Dock" to start making a dock. I'll call this
- object "Dock1". Don't click on "Ok" yet - you have to add more information
- to this object.
-
- 5. Click on the "Edit tool list" gadget for Dock1, and select the "New" gadget
- in the window that appears.
-
- 6. Select Prog1 as the Exec object and Image1 as the Image object for this
- new entry.
-
- 7. Click on "Ok" twice to take you back to the main preferences window and
- click on "Test". If you did the above correctly, your new dock should
- appear, and will load the program you selected in Prog1 when you click
- on it. If this works, select save, or repeat the procedure to add more
- objects to the dock.
